The series moves to Washington on Wednesday for a do-or-die showdown for the Habs
MONTREAL – Despite holding a 2-1 lead after 40 minutes of play, the Canadiens couldn’t stifle a Capitals third-period rally and ultimately fell 5-2 on Sunday at the Bell Centre.
The Caps now have a 3-1 series lead.
Electricity in the air
There was a special atmosphere inside the Bell Centre – and out – once again, with the roaring crowd kicking the decibel meter into high gear.
Sans pareils, dans l'aréna comme à l'extérieur

And as if the crowd wasn’t amped up enough, former Canadiens defenseman P.K. Subban was in the house, and he took the opportunity to fire up the crowd.

Roster
The only change to Montreal’s lineup was the team’s starter, Jakub Dobes.

Dobes has been called upon to defend the cage after Samuel Montembeault left Friday’s game in the second period. He is listed as day to day. Cayden Primeau was recalled to back-up Dobes, who made 21 saves against the Caps. For more stats, check out the NHL’s Gamecenter summary here.
