Canada looks to maintain its undefeated start at the IIHF World Championship when it battles Slovakia on Saturday afternoon.
The Canadians (4-0) entered play Friday touting 12 points, sitting tied atop Group A with Sweden. They’ve defeated Slovenia, Latvia, France and Austria, out-scoring the opposition by a total of 21-2.
Thursday’s 5-1 defeat of Austria featured two goals from Nathan MacKinnon and a game-sealing score from Sidney Crosby, playing in his first World Championship since 2015.
