Canada continues preliminary round play at the 2025 World Junior Championships against Latvia on Friday evening.
The Canadians conducted a perfect pre-tournament slate, notching wins over Switzerland, Sweden, and Czechia.
Canada faltered in last year’s WJC, stumbling to a shocking fifth-place finish. But the Canadians had no trouble with Latvia, rolling to a 10-0 victory in Group A play last December.

This year’s team, rife with talent, is considered one of the favorites to capture the gold medal.
Games with Germany and the United States loom on Sunday and Tuesday, respectively, to conclude the preliminary round.
