After 15 games to open the week, the NHL returns on Wednesday night with seven more contests.
This year’s NHL All-Star Weekend is just 10 days away, but there is still plenty of action left in the first half of this season. Wednesday night’s games feature a Canadian battle between the Winnipeg Jets and Toronto Maple Leafs, a few in-conference games and several inter-conference clashes.
With so little time before the All-Star break, these teams are looking to put their best foot forward to close out the first half of the season. The coming stretch of games could go far in determining many teams’ decisions ahead of March’s NHL trade deadline.

The Jets are coming off of a 4-1 loss to the Bruins on Monday night. The Maple Leafs defeated the Kraken, 3-1, on Sunday.
The Coyotes have won their last two games, including their first win over the Penguins since 2017, 5-2 on Monday. Florida most recently defeated the Predators, 4-1, but have lost their previous three home games.
The Hurricanes dropped a Sunday game with the Wild, 5-2, and the Bruins enter Wednesday as winners of their last five.
The Capitals most recently took on the Wild before traveling to Colorado for a second away game in two nights. The Avalanche last played Saturday, when they took down the Flyers, 7-4.

The Blues continue their Canada trip after taking on the Flames on Tuesday night. The Canucks defeated the Blackhawks at home, 2-0, on Monday night.
Chicago continues its journey west after a 2-0 loss to the Canucks on Monday. The Kraken most recently lost to the Maple Leafs, 3-1, on Sunday
The Sabres continue their California trip on Wednesday in their second of three straight games in the state after playing the Ducks on Tuesday. Los Angeles lost their previous game to the Sharks, 4-3 in a shootout, on Monday.
