Western Michigan and Minnesota State will square off in the Fargo Regional of the 2025 NCAA Hockey Tournament as 16 teams vie for a national championship.
Western Michigan hockey enters the postseason with an impressive 30-7-1 record. The Broncos were an offensive juggernaut this season, boasting six players with 10+ goals, and a staggering 14 players with at least 9 assists or more. Western Michigan is seeking its first-ever Frozen Four appearance.
Meanwhile, Minnesota State makes its sixth NCAA Tournament appearance since 2018, with a season mark of 27-8-3. The Mavericks are paced by senior forward Rhett Pitlick, 27 assists this season, and junior netminder Alex Tracy, who owns the nation’s top goals-against average (1.43).
The winner of this Fargo Regional clash will advance to face the victor of the Minnesota-UMass matchup on March 29, with a coveted spot in the Frozen Four on the line.
