The United States defeated Canada, 3-1, in a game defined by boundless intensity. Dylan Larkin scored the go-ahead goal in the second period, and the Americans never looked back, securing their spot in Thursday’s championship game.

The Canadians punched their ticket two days later, racing out to a 4-0 lead and eventually downing Finland, 5-3. Nathan MacKinnon fueled Canada’s attack with a two-goal performance.
