Calum Ritchie opened the scoring for the Avalanche on Monday, scoring his first career NHL goal in his third game.
The 19-year-old, who is skating on the second line with Casey Mittelstadt and Miles Wood, received a nice feed from Josh Manson along the boards and tapped it in back door past New York Islanders goalie Ilya Sorokin at 1:01 of the first period.
