Law enforcement from across the region will honor U.S. Border Patrol Agent David “Chris” Maland, who was shot and killed nearly two months ago, with a benefit hockey game this Sunday at Jay Peak in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom.
Local border agents will face off against the local police department at 4 p.m., with free admission to the public.
The event will also feature a silent auction with prizes including NHL jerseys and merchandise from local businesses, and a 50-50 raffle.
All proceeds will directly benefit the Maland family. More information is available on Jay Peak’s website.
