The Vegas Golden Knights (40-20-8) take on the Minnesota Wild (40-26-5) Tuesday. Puck drop from Xcel Energy Center is set for 8 p.m. ET (ESPN+). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NHL odds around the Golden Knights vs. Wildodds and make our expert NHL picks and predictions.
Season series: VGK leads 2-0 with wins at both sites
The Knights have won 3 straight after a 4-2 home win over the Tampa Bay Lightning Sunday. C Tomas Hertl scored his 31st goal of the season, and C Jack Eichel scored his 23rd. Eichel has 2 goals and 5 assists in the last 3 games. VGK remains atop the Pacific Division by 5 points.
The Wild dropped Monday’s game 3-0 at the Dallas Stars. They were 0-for-4 on the power play and could not crack G Jake Oettinger on 32 shots. LW Matt Boldy had 7 SOG and snapped a 3-game point streak. The L snapped a 3-game winning streak for them, and they’re hanging on to a 4-point lead over the St. Louis Blues in the second Wild Card spot.

Adin Hill (26-11-5, 2.51 GAA, .907 SV%, 4 SO) vs. Marc-Andre Fleury (12-8-1, 2.73 GAA, .904 SV%, 1 SO)
Hill won his last start Saturday against Detroit, stopping 28 of 31 fired his way. He’s 5-1-1 with a 2.14 GAA and .927 SV% in 7 March starts. He beat Minnesota at home Jan. 12, stopping 15 of 16 fired his way.
Fleury’s last start came March 9, and it was a 3-1 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins. He stopped 19 of 21 fired his way. The 40-year-old last faced the Golden Knights April 12 last season and allowed 7 goals on 30 shots in a 7-2 loss.

Golden Knights 3, Wild 2
The Golden Knights have won 4 straight meetings and 8 of 10. They’re the clear choice with Minnesota using its backup tendy. However, at -190, there is too much juice for VGK on the road.
PASS.
I’ll take WILD +1.5 (-160) here. The last 3 meetings in Minnesota resulted in 1-goal losses for the Wild. I can see them hanging around and picking up a point here because they’ve been playing good hockey at 5-4-1 in the last 10. They’ve done that without LW Kirill Kaprizov and C Joel Eriksson Ek.
The Wild are just 2-8 O/U in their last 10, and the Under has cashed in 4 straight. Vegas is 5-4-1 and has scored 4+ goals in 3 straight. All of those were at home, though, During a 4-game road trip in that 10-game stretch, it scored just 9 goals combined.
So I’ll take the UNDER 5.5 (-105) here.
