Buckle up, hockey fans! It’s a Pacific Division showdown as the Vancouver Canucks (27-21-11) battle the Seattle Kraken (25-31-4)! Who’s guarding the crease tonight?
Kevin Lankinen vs. Joey Daccord (projected) – and this matchup has all the makings of a thriller!
Lankinen is riding high after stopping 24 of 26 shots in Vancouver’s 3-2 overtime win over the Kings. Sure, he let a two-goal lead slip late, but Conor Garland saved the day in OT.
Still, Lankinen’s been solid—winning four of his last six starts while keeping opponents to two goals or fewer in five of those games. With Demko sidelined, he’s Vancouver’s guy.
Meanwhile, Daccord had a rough go last game, surrendering five goals on 21 shots before getting the hook. He’s still Seattle’s workhorse, but he needs to bounce back.

Vancouver improved to 27-21-11 with a 3-2 road win over the Sharks. The Canucks were favored on the puck line, but failed to cover. The total was set at 6.5 goals, and the combined 5 goals fell short of that mark.
After falling behind 1-0 in the second period, the Canucks tied it up with a goal from Pius Suter at 5:19. They took the lead in the third period with a goal from Jake DeBrusk, but the Sharks evened the score again. Suter scored the game-winner with just 26 seconds left in regulation.
Pius Suter led the Canucks with two goals in their 3-2 win over the Sharks, bringing his season total to four. He found the net for the first time at 5:19 in the second period, then added his second goal with just 26 seconds left in the game. Jake DeBrusk also scored, marking his first goal of the season at 4:22 in the third period.
Vancouver took 27 shots on goal and recorded 25 giveaways. The Canucks were held scoreless in the first period, got on the board with Suter’s first goal in the second, and added two more in the final period.
Vancouver’s defense gave up the first goal 2:37 into the second period and another at 18:43 in the third, but the Canucks’ offense responded each time, leading to a 3-2 win. Kevin Lankinen made 21 saves with a 91.3% save percentage, while the defense added 5 takeaways and 24 hits.
Seattle dropped to 25-31-4 after a 2-0 road loss to the Bruins. The Kraken entered as underdogs on the puck line, with the total set at 6 goals, but the combined score of 2 fell well short of that mark.
Both of Boston’s goals came in the first period, with the first scored just 3:23 into the game. Seattle’s offense struggled, managing 23 shots on goal but failing to find the net.
Seattle’s offense was held scoreless in their 2-0 loss to Boston, despite putting 23 shots on goal. The Kraken struggled with giveaways, committing 19 in the game.
Seattle failed to score in any period, and none of their players found the net.
Seattle’s defense gave up two early goals to Boston, both in the first period. The first came just 3:23 into the game, and the second at the 10:03 mark, a power-play goal by Charlie Coyle. However, the Kraken’s defense held strong after that, not allowing another goal. Goalie Joey Daccord made 31 saves with a 93.9% save percentage.
If you’re looking for a moneyline pick, my choice is the Canucks to take down the Kraken on the road. With the moneyline currently at -103, I’m placing my bet on the Canucks straight-up.
If you’re not as confident in the Canucks straight-up, we’d still recommend placing a bet on them to cover the puck line.
With an over/under line sitting at 5.5 goals, we like this game to remain below that mark and recommend getting a bet down on the under.
