The Utah Hockey Club is on the road to play the Seattle Kraken on Monday at 8 p.m. ET. Utah (16-13-6) is coming off a 4-1 loss to the Colorado Avalanche. Seattle (16-19-2) is coming off a 5-4 win over Vancouver in OT.
Utah is on a three-game losing streak. Clayton Keller leads the Hockey Club with 36 points, followed by Dylan Guenther with 32, Logan Cooley with 31 points, and Nick Schmaltz with 28.
The Hockey Club will start Karel Vejmelka who’s 8-9-2 with a 2.32 GAA and a .918 SV%. In his career against Seattle, he’s 2-3 with a 3.57 GAA and a .890 SV%.
Seattle snapped its five-game losing streak in thrilling comeback fashion to defeat Vancouver in OT. Jared McCann leads the Kraken with 27 points, followed by Oliver Bjorkstrand with 25 and Chandler Stephenson with 23. The Kraken will start Philipp Grubauer, who is 4-10 with a 3.66 GAA and .873 SV%.
Utah is a -135 favorite while Seattle is a +114 underdog. The over/under is set at 6 goals.
The Hockey Club and Kraken have both struggled as of late. But, Seattle had a thrilling comeback scoring three times in the last five minutes to force OT against Vancouver.
That win should give Seattle some momentum and confidence at home, as Utah has also struggled as of late. Although Philipp Grubauer has struggled this season, the Kraken’s offense should be the difference as Seattle will get an upset win at home here.
Prediction: Seattle 4, Utah 3.
Tip 1: Seattle ML (+114)
Tip 2: Over 6 goals (-105)
Tip 3: Clayton Keller 3+ shots on goal (-120)
Tip 4: Jared McCann 1+ points (-115)
