OTTAWA – First place in Group A is on the line as North American rivals USA and the Canada world juniors teams square off at the 2025 IIHF World Junior Championship on New Year’s Eve. Once a semi-annual tradition, the New Year’s Eve showdown between these two teams is back for the first time since 2016.
To help get you ready for the highly-anticipated matchup, here are the projected lines for each team ahead of Tuesday night’s game at the Canadian Tire Centre.

Team USA vs. Team Canada will broadcast on Dec. 31 at 8:00 p.m. ET on NHL Network in the United States. The game will be broadcast live on TSN and CTV across Canada, while RDS will have the French-language broadcast of the game. TSN+ will also stream games in Canada.
