A gunperson, reportedly dressed in women’s clothing, fired several rounds from the stands on Monday at a school match in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
Four family members were shot, including a young girl, as well as a family friend before the gun was turned on the killer, cops said.
Police Chief Tina Goncalves has now said Dorgan, who was found dead at the scene, is the only suspect as she revealed the suspect identified as a female.
Goncalves announced: “We have identified the person, the suspect, by a birth name, the birth name was Robert Dorgan.

“We have also learned that the person does go by the name of Roberta, also uses a last name of Esposito.”
Dorgan was the father of a North Providence High School senior who was competing in the school hockey tournament.
The suspect reportedly underwent gender reassignment surgery in 2020, according to court filings obtained by WPRI.
Just one night before the massacre, Dorgan chillingly replied to an anti-trans post on social media saying: “Keep bashing us. but do not wonder why we Go BERSERK.”

Cops are continuing to investigate the mass shooting but believe the motive was likely a domestic dispute between Dorgan and an ex-wife.
Around the same time as Dorgan’s surgery, a partner filed for divorce on grounds of “gender reassignment surgery, narcissistic and personality disorder traits,” according to the court filing.
Weeks later, the official reason was replaced with “irreconcilable differences which have caused the immediate breakdown of the marriage“.
Dorgan’s family troubles also saw a report filed against a father-in-law to the North Providence Police Department in 2020.
The suspected shooter accused the in-law of using a slur for transgender people before bizarrely claiming he threatened to have Dorgan “murdered by an Asian street gang if he did not move out of the residence”.
It is unclear if the ex-wife or father-in-law were at the game with police yet to reveal the identities of those killed.
Three victims remain in critical condition in hospital.
Dorgan was believed to be armed with multiple guns, with witnesses claiming a heroic bystander managed to rip a firearm out of the attacker’s hands after the first few shots were fired.
A second deadly weapon was then allegedly pulled out as Dorgan continued the assault with Rhode Island cops finding two guns at the scene.
Since Dorgan was identified, an X account said to belong to the suspect has been unearthed with it featuring thousands of unhinged posts.
Many include anti-trans hate messages as well as antisemitic, pro-Nazi and racist rants.
The shooting first erupted just before 2:30pm with police arriving within two minutes of the first 911 call.
Horror footage shows the high school hockey players skating off the rink as shots rang out across the arena.
Pawtucket Mayor Donald Grebien said his police force is working with Rhode Island Attorney General’s Office “to ensure the facts are fully established”.
