Hype is out of control for Thursday night’s 4 Nations championship game between Canada and the United States.
It will be a game that captivates hockey fans across North America, and the demand to get inside Boston’s TD Garden to watch it live is overwhelming. Tickets are sold out for the big game, but tons are still available on the resale market. The prices of those tickets are astronomical.
As of Tuesday morning, Ticketmaster’s cheapest ticket for the Canada/USA championship game is a whopping $1,009 USD for upper-bowl seats, which translates to $1,432 CAD.

These are not the prices for front-row seats or even lower-bowl seats. The current price to get inside the arena at all for this Canada/USA championship is over $1,000 USD. In comparison, this is more expensive than the cheapest tickets for Game 6 of last year’s Stanley Cup Final in Edmonton, which were listed at $1,276 CAD.
For those looking to get premium seats for the final, the cheapest lower-bowl tickets are sitting at $1,750 USD ($2,483 CAD).
But it’s hard to argue that fans paying this hefty price won’t be getting their full value. This will be a game that features several of the league’s best players, including Sidney Crosby, Connor McDavid, and Nathan MacKinnon, all playing on the world’s biggest stage. It also features an iconic rivalry between Canada and the United States, which has only been heightened due to recent geopolitical events.
There were doubts heading into the 4 Nations about potential fan interest and whether the NHL would have trouble selling out games. As we approach the championship game, it looks like these problems have disappeared.
The atmosphere inside the arena is set to be electric as this final has all the makings to wind up being one of the most iconic international hockey games in recent memory.
