Defenseman Nikita Tyurin (140th, 2025) is already showing himself to be a player to watch out of the 2025 NHL draft. Tyurin made contributions to help MHC Spartak win the 2025 Spartacus Cup.
The Red Wings Prospects outlet notes he is showing improvement even since last spring’s playoffs. RWP’s observations: His skating looks a bit smoother and puck-moving and vision remain his strongest attributes.

Tyurin is a 6-foot defenseman is also showing more physical play, according to RWP.
This is what I’d like to see more of. Defensively Tyurin gaps well and often uses a good defensive stick to knock pucks away but I’d like to see more finishing through the body like this. pic.twitter.com/3A45zGUPsU

Fans attending Detroit’s Red and White game ( Sunday, Sept. 21 at 3 p.m, Grand Rapids Van Andel Arena) will have an opportunity to get autographs from some of their favorite former players. Dan Cleary, Kris Draper, Jiri Fischer, Niklas Kronwall, Kirk Maltby and Darren McCarty among the scheduled signers from 2-3 p.m.. The lineup is subject to change. Photo cards will be available to sign, but fans can bring their own items.
The game format will consist of two 20-minute, stop-time periods with a full intermission. Following the second period, which will include scheduled power-play and penalty kill segments, a dry scrape of the ice surface will precede a shootout. Tickets for the game are available at griffinshockey.com.
