Matt Rempe and Ryan Reaves watch out… William Eklund is coming.
At practice recently, new San Jose Sharks defenseman Vincent Desharnais showed Eklund some strategy for his next scrap. 6-foot-7 Desharnais has fought once since his trade to the Sharks and has 16 NHL fights according to Hockey Fights.

Meanwhile, 5-foot-11 Eklund who has fought just once in his professional career, against Glenn Gawdin, told San Jose Hockey Now, “I had one in the AHL… I was doing okay. I’m not a fighter, that’s for sure.”
But, why did Desharnais feel the need to teach Eklund a thing or two about fighting?
“He was looking for trouble, so I had to give him a little bit of a hard time,” Desharnais joked.
“I guess that’s my play style sometimes,” Eklund admitted.
