The Ottawa Senators win Game 4 in overtime 4-3 over the Toronto Maple Leafs to keep its season alive. Jake Sanderson scores the OT winner for the Senators.
With the game tied at two heading to the third period, the Senators took the lead with David Perron’s goal. But Oliver Ekman-Larsson tied the game with five minutes to play, forcing overtime. Ottawa killed a five minute Toronto power play in overtime before Sanderson scored the game winner.
The Maple Leafs lead the series 3-1. Game 5 is Tuesday night in Toronto.
After the game, Craig Berube said that John Tavares will be fine after going off the ice in overtime. Like Matthew Knies, Berube said that his team had looks on the power play but couldn't get a bounce.
On the difference of tonight's game: "Special teams," Berube said.
In this "Core Four" era, the Maple Leafs have struggled to win series-clinching games. Berube said that he liked a lot of things his team did, including not allowing Ottawa to have a lot of shots (four shots in 40 minutes). He also liked Anthony Stolarz.
"He was solid," Berube said of his goaltender.

Matthew Knies said that there were some good chances on the five-minute power play but the special teams need to improve for Game 5.
"Our special teams could've been better," Knies said.
Knies commented that the team is in a good spot, up 3-1 heading home to Toronto on Tuesday.
"Onto the next game," Knies said. "We are excited to get another opportunity."

Anthony Stolarz praised his team's effort tonight despite giving up the overtime winner. His team came back twice and he believes that they should keep doing what they are doing for Game 5.
"I like where our game is at," Stolarz said.
Ottawa Senators defenseman Jake Sanderson said that killing the four-minute penalty "gave a lot of momentum" to the team.
On his OT winner: "Just a quick change and saw the puck get out of the zone," Sanderson said. "Honestly a great screen by Zetterlund to get traffic in front and I don't think he [Stolarz] saw it."
