LeBlanc's prediction: Sanderson grabs another apple for Ottawa.
NHL
The Ottawa Senators visit the Dallas Stars at American Airlines Center tonight, marking the second meeting between these two teams this season, as Dallas took a 3-2 nailbiter earlier this month.
My Senators vs. Stars predictions expect one of the league’s hottest and most consistent players to keep rolling.

Senators vs Stars Best bet: Jake Sanderson Over 0.5 assists (+120)
Ottawa Senators defenseman Jake Sanderson has emerged as the team’s clear-cut number No. 1 and should be poised for a massive role with Thomas Chabot sidelined. The young American notched 57 points last season and leads Ottawa with 15 helpers heading into tonight’s matchup against the Dallas Stars.
He’s racked up seven assists in his last eight games, playing over 23 minutes in each. This is a very consistent and reliable player prop, as Sanderson ranks 12th among all defensemen in assists per game this season.
Similarly to how Sanderson is poised for increased responsibilities with Chabot sidelined, Tyler Kleven is in line to log heavier minutes. The young rearguard is munching the heaviest minutes of his career thus far and has seemingly carved himself a reliable role among the Senators’ defensive corps.
Sanderson has hit the Over for blocks in six of the last seven games, coinciding with Chabot’s absence.
Perhaps no one in the NHL has been hotter than Stars forward Jason Robertson over the last few weeks. The Californian leads Dallas with 15 goals and has an astounding 12 over his previous nine games, scoring in eight of them.
Robertson boasts three multi-goal games this month and averages over four minutes of power-play time per game, matching up well against Ottawa’s 31st-ranked penalty kill.
The underdog has won three of the last four meetings, with Ottawa prevailing in six of the last 10. Find more NHL betting trends for Senators vs. Stars.
