The past two months have been difficult for the Boston Bruins, who rank 21st in the league in xGA/60 over that stretch. Boston’s defense was already thin without Hampus Lindholm, so the injury to Charlie McAvoy last month was devastating for this group.
This blue line is bleeding high-danger scoring chances, which has resulted in goaltender Jeremy Swayman allowing three or more goals in 12 of his last 19 games. These trends are good news for Brady Tkachuk, who has been on fire recently with six goals over his last six games.
