DULUTH, Minn.- The section 7A semifinal rounds took place on Saturday night at Amsoil Arena.
The Cloquet/Esko/Carlton Lumberjacks faced the Proctor Rails.
The Lumberjacks defeated the Rails 7 to 2, advancing to the section title game.
In the other section 7A semifinal match-up, the Hermantown Hawks faced Hibbing/Chisholm in a rematch of last year’s section title game.
The Bluejackets completed the upset as they defeated the defending section champions 5 to 3.
C-E-C and Hibbing/Chisholm are set to play on Wednesday, February 26th in the section 7A title game with a trip to the state tournament on the line.
Puck drop is at 7 p.m.
