Sartell Expands Cancer Awareness Efforts with New Volleyball and Hockey Fundraisers – KNSI


(KNSI) – The Sartell Sabres’ cancer awareness efforts are growing beyond the gridiron this year the addition of two more games in different sports.
The 2025-26 cancer awareness calendar will feature three sports with one mission, to raise funds for fighting cancer. Sartell football’s Tackle Cancer game is September 12th, Sartell volleyball’s Dig Pink night is September 25th, and Sartell boys hockey’s Stick it to Cancer night will be January 15th. Each event will feature merchandise sales, raffles, and donation opportunities, with attendees eligible for prize drawings during the games.
The money raised at the football game will go to the Randy Shaver Cancer Research & Community Fund and TriUnity Foundation. The volleyball and hockey events will focus specifically on TriUnity Foundation’s mission to eliminate debt for families facing terminal illness.
People can show their support by attending the cancer awareness games or buying shirts, jerseys, hats, and accessories are also available at the Sartell Activities Office or online.
The collaboration between the school, St. Cloud Financial Credit Union and St. Cloud Subaru has raised over $20,000 through the annual Tackle Cancer football game in two years.
