UConn and Quinnipiac are set to face off in the 2025 NCAA Men’s Hockey Tournament, with the Huskies making their NCAA Tournament debut in the Allentown Regional. 
UConn is led by sophomore forward Joey Muldowney, who has amassed an impressive 27 goals and 18 assists for 45 points. 
Quinnipiac boasts a strong roster with junior forward Jeremy Wilmer contributing 14 goals and 25 assists for 39 points. 
The Bobcats’ special teams have been a significant strength, with the nation’s best power play at 29.9 percent and a penalty kill ranking third at 87.5 percent. 
Quinnipiac is only two years removed from winning the NCAA Hockey title, and as they look to get back to the top of the mountain, a young but talented UConn team will be their first obstacle.

It’s hard to view UConn as an underdog in this game, but the inexperience in the tournament is certainly there from a program perspective. 
With that said, they don’t look out of place in the first few minutes. 
Case in point: the Huskies had the first real scoring opportunity of the game from Tristan Fraser.
