DALLAS, Texas — The Minnesota Wild hit the road to take on the Dallas Stars after completing a seven game homestand Saturday afternoon.
Minnesota looks to break the current season series tie as they carry a three game win streak into this matchup against a Central Division rival. As the Wild heads back out on the road they are currently second in the NHL with 47 road points (22-10-3) and a .671 road point percentage while ranking third with 22 road wins.

The Stars won the series-opening game, 2-1, in St. Paul (11/16) before the Wild won the second game, 3-2, in overtime in Dallas (12/27).

Minnesota defeated Buffalo 4-1 in regulation Saturday afternoon. C Marco Rossi scored first for the Wild less than a minute into the second period with assists coming from C Yakov Trenin and RW Vinnie Hinostroza. Minnesota added another tally about four minutes later when RW Justin Brazeau scored his first goal as a member of the Wild, assisted by C Brendan Guance and Boldy. RW Mats Zuccarello extended the lead for Minnesota to 3-0, assists coming from Boldy and D Zach Bogosian. Buffalo got on the board six minutes into the third period to bring the score to 3-1. C Freddy Gaudreau scored an empty net goal with under a minute left in the game on the assists from Spurgeon and D Jonas Brodin to end the game with a 4-1 victory for the Wild.
