Elizabethtown 2, Gwynedd Mercy 0
Reagan Flory and Lyla Fair scored third-quarter goals to lift the Bears to a the PIAA Class 2A first-round victory over the District One champion Monarchs (11-12) on Tuesday at Lower Gwynedd Township.

Flory snapped a scoreless tie after taking a pass from Piper Patrick at the 1:13 mark of the third quarter. Fair made it 2-0 with an unassisted goal at the 9:33 mark of the third.
Caroline Stricker recorded the shutout in goal, making nine saves.
The District Three fifth-place Bears (18-4-2) will face District One fourth-place Kennett, a 3-0 winner over Archbishop Carroll Tuesday, in quarterfinal Saturday, site and time to be announced.
CLASS 3A
Villa Maria Academy 2, Penn Manor 0
Defending Class 2A champion Villa Maria Academy, now playing in Class 3A, ousted Penn Manor from the PIAA playoffs with two fourth-quarter goals and shutout goaltending by Katie Connolly in a first-round game Tuesday at Malvern.
Caitlyn Connell scored both goals for the District One champion Hurricanes (22-1). She was assisted by Erin Mitchell with 9:36 to play in the fourth quarter, and scored an unassisted goal with 4:48 left.
Connolly made four saves.
Marissa Harnish had six saves for District Three fifth-place Penn Manor (16-6-1).
The Hurricanes advance to play Manheim Township in a quarterfinal game Saturday, site and time to be announced. The Blue Streaks beat Downingtown West 2-1 on Tuesday.
