Matt Campbell is set for his first public appearance at Beaver Stadium, but it won’t be on grass.
Penn State’s new head coach will be doing a ceremonial puck drop ahead of the first-ever men’s hockey game in Beaver Stadium, the team announced on Wednesday.

Puck drop is set for 1 p.m. Saturday with the No. 5 Nittany Lions taking on No. 2 Michigan State.
Campbell was introduced at a men’s hockey game on Jan. 9, where Penn State defeated Minnesota 3-0.
The event is set to have around 65,000 in attendance and will be Campbell’s first taste of a Beaver Stadium crowd.
