Looking to make a three-peat for the AHA Tournament title, Penn State will have a tough 2024-25 campaign.
The Nittany Lions open their season on September 26 when they host Northeastern for a two-game nonconference series.
Last season, the blue and white traveled up to Boston and split a two-game set with the Huskies, falling 1-0 in Game 1 only to even the series with a 2-1 result in Game 2.
Penn State will then face UConn and Union College on the road with a pair of two-game series between Oct. 4 and Oct. 12, before hosting Dartmouth Oct. 18-19.
Unlike last season, the Nittany Lions will partake in a trio of in-season tournaments, the first of which takes place in Columbus for the Ice Breaker Tournament. Ohio State, led by former Penn State captain Kiara Zanon, will host the blue and white, as well as Cornell and Stonehill on Oct. 25-26.

Penn State opens AHA conference play with three consecutive home conference series against Syracuse, Lindenwood and Robert Morris from Oct. 31 to Nov. 23.
The second of three in-season tournaments will take place just after Thanksgiving when the Nittany Lions join Merrimack, Clarkson and St. Thomas at the Ford Ice Center Bellevue, the Nashville Predators practice facility, for the Smashville Women’s Collegiate Hockey Showcase from Nov. 29-30.
The final series of 2024, and the only two games in the month of December, take place in Erie, Pennsylvania, as the blue and white face off against its conference tournament opponent for the past two seasons, Mercyhurst.
Zanon won’t be the only former Nittany Lion that will face Penn State, as longtime goaltender Josie Bothun will face her former team for the first time on Jan. 3. The blue and white will battle Bemidji State in Minneapolis, followed by a matchup with Minnesota on Jan. 4, both of which are part of the East West Showcase.

Penn State will end the 2024-25 regular season with 12 straight AHA games against the other six AHA members, with series against RIT at the beginning and end of that span.
The AHA Tournament will kick off Feb. 22 for the quarterfinals, followed by the best-of-three semifinals from Feb. 28 to March 2, with the eventual AHA championship game on March 8.
