Olympic women’s hockey action continues on Saturday with Team USA’s second game of the round robin portion of the tournament at Milan Cortina 2026.
Olympic Women’s hockey team head coach for Team USA John Wreblewski thought their opening win against Czechia “was a great start, but every game we have to grow.”
Well, they got that chance on Saturday against Finland, who opened their 2026 Winter Olympics journey after their first game against Canada was postponed due to norovirus spreading through the team.
Team Canada, an obvious heavy favorite for the gold opened their play against Switzerland, winning 4-0. The Swiss team was in isolation on Friday night after a player that did not play in their 4-3 win over Czechia tested positive for norovirus.
