That was an unmitigated abomination for the Oilers, who endured their worst postseason outing by a country mile, even worse than the 6-2 loss in Los Angeles.

It was bound to happen considering the otherworldly run they’ve been on since those opening two games against the Kings, but I expect the exact opposite from what we saw in Game 3. 
They will tighten things up, play with way more discipline, and enjoy a markedly better start. The Oilers can ill afford to go down 3-1, and they’ll be acutely aware of that after digging themselves a hole too deep in last season’s final. 
Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl were both kept off the scoresheet in Game 3, something that hasn’t occurred all playoffs, which should add more fuel to the comeback fire.
