The Edmonton Oilers can match the longest win streak in NHL history (17) with a win over the Vegas Golden Knights tonight. According to Tuesday’s NHL odds, Connor McDavid and company are favorites to make history against the reigning Cup champs.
We’ve made our Oilers vs Golden Knights prediction, concentrating on one side of the game total. We’ve also made a puck line prediction for you to toss into a same-game parlay.
Let’s get into the Oilers vs Golden Knights odds, as we offer you our prediction for Tuesday night’s NHL game.
The Edmonton Oilers are heavy -152 moneyline favorites in the Oilers vs Golden Knights odds, meaning they have 60% implied probability to win Tuesday’s game.
The Oilers vs Golden Knights game will be streamed on ESPN+ and HULU, with puck drop scheduled for 7:00 PM ET at T-Mobile Arena. Fans in Canada can tune in on Sportsnet.

The Oilers and Golden Knights have played just once this season, with Edmonton winning 5-4 in a shootout back in late-November. It wasn’t a great night for either goalie, as Edmonton’s Stuart Skinner and Vegas’ Logan Thompson both finished with a save percentage below .900.
These two teams met in the second round of the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs, where Vegas defeated Edmonton in six games to advance to the Western Conference Final. Even when you include that postseason series, the two teams have still split the past 10 games evenly.
The “over” has cashed in three straight meetings between the two clubs, although the “under” hit in the previous three games. The public is forecasting another high-scoring game in the NHL public betting trends, which is something we are taking advantage of in our EDM vs VGK picks.
The Oilers enter Tuesday Night Hockey riding a 16-game win streak pre-dating the NHL All-Star Break. This is the team’s first game back, and now they have the opportunity to match the 1992-93 Pittsburgh Penguins for the longest winning streak in NHL history.
IT'S GAME DAY!
The #Oilers are back in action as they look for their 17th win in a row tonight vs. Vegas.

The Oilers have also won nine straight games on the road and haven’t allowed more than two goals in each of their past 14 contests. Edmonton goaltender Stuart Skinner has won a team-record 12 straight starts, posting a 1.41 goals-against average and a .950 save percentage during that span.
Edmonton is led on offense by the dynamic duo of Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, who both appeared at the All-Star Weekend. McDavid, who won the skills competition, paces the club with 20 goals and 67 points in 43 games on the season.

The Golden Knights also come into Tuesday’s game with some mojo. Vegas won five of their past seven games prior to the NHL All-Star break, but one of those losses came in their most recent putting against Detroit. Vegas was humbled 5-2 by the Wings at Little Ceasars Arena.

The Golden Knights are anticipating the return of William Karlsson on Tuesday, a key player who has been out of action since the Winter Classic on New Year’s Day. He’ll aim to bolster a VGK offense that is averaging 3.18 goals per game, 14th in the NHL.
Vegas remains without star forward Jack Eichel, who is currently on injured reserve after undergoing surgery on his knee. His projected return is sometime in late-February.
In the goaltending crease, the Knights are expected to turn to Adin Hill, who is 12-2-2 with a .936 save percentage and 1.94 GAA this season.
It’s typically not wise to bet against streaks in sports betting. Despite what the numbers and analytics might say, teams that are scorching hot defy the metrics and simply find ways to win. With that being said, the numbers do point to the Oilers being the right side tonight.
The Oilers have an impressive 60.76 xGF% over their past 10 games, while the Golden Knights own a 48.13 xGF%. Simply put, Edmonton is dominating possession, while Vegas is getting out-chanced in all situations by their opposition.
What’s working in favor of Vegas is their 18-5-2 home record and impressive play from goaltender Adin Hill. The 27-year-old netminder impressed in the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs against Edmonton, posting a .934 save percentage in six games.
For our Oilers vs Golden Knights prediction, we’re going to take the “under”. These are two hot goalies, and the total has gone under in EDM’s last four road contests. If you’re looking for a same-game parlay, we’d toss in VGK +1.5, as we are anticipating a close game.
