Freshman Shannon Pearson made her first collegiate goal count, scoring the game-winner midway through the first period, and junior Annelies Bergmann turned aside all 23 shots she faced to earn her 15th career shutout in goal. Cornell controlled play throughout, outshooting the Eagles 41-23 and winning 61 percent of faceoffs.

Pearson’s goal came at 8:33 of the opening frame, when she buried a rebound off a setup from Delaney Fleming and Mckenna Van Gelder to give the Big Red an early edge.

Cornell extended its lead in the second period, striking twice in a two-minute span. Béatrice Perron-Roy made it 2-0 at 12:27, finishing a feed from Abby Thibodeau and Georgia Schiff, before Piper Grober added an insurance tally at 14:27 off a pass from Perron-Roy.

Cornell’s defense limited Boston College (3–3) to just three shots in the second period and killed both Eagle power plays. Goaltender Grace Campbell made 38 saves in the loss for BC.
