The second round of the NHL’s Stanley Cup playoffs started Monday night when the defending champion Florida Panthers visited the Toronto Maple Leafs.
That was followed by two games on Tuesday night as the Carolina Hurricanes visited the Washington Capitals and the Edmonton Oilers visited the Vegas Golden Knights. The Winnipeg Jets will face the Dallas Stars on Wednesday after both their series went to Game 7.
The Florida-Toronto and Edmonton-Vegas series are repeats of 2023 matchups won by the Panthers and Golden Knights before they eventually met in the Stanley Cup Final.
