They will face the Edmonton Oilers for the second year in a row in the third round, starting Wednesday night at home. Edmonton won last year’s series in six games.
The Carolina Hurricanes learned their opponent in the Eastern Conference final on Sunday night, when the defending champion Florida Panthers routed the Toronto Maple Leafs in Game 7.
That series will start Tuesday night in Raleigh, North Carolina.
