Bieber, a known hockey fanatic, still couldn't take the veteran down after a respectful attempt.
The tournament that aired on Sunday was a charity event with all proceeds from concessions, auctions, and donations going to the Red Cross, the LA Fire Foundation, the Cal Fire Foundation, and the Eaton Canyon Fire Relief and Recovery Fund.
Each team consisted of celebrities and at least two first responders for the Los Angeles wildfires.
Team Black's first responder players included Spencer Heichman and Jason Northgrave (El Segundo FD) with celebrity teammates such as Bieber and famous actor Steve Carrell. The team's coaches were Snoop Dogg and Will Ferrell (both Los Angeles Kings fans).
Team Red's first responder players were Matty and Marty Mullen paired alongside some former big-name NHL players such as Roenick, Dany Heatly, and heavy-hitter Dion Phaneuf with actor Vince Vaughn and actress Cobie Smulders as head coaches.
The team ended up winning the tournament when all was said and done.
Team Blue was the only one consisting of three first responders – Marc Reina, Roger Sackaroff, and Brad Peters. Celebrities on the team include actors Tim Riggins and Tim Riggins along with former hockey players Mark Messier and PK Subban. Legendary actor Danny DeVito and broadcast Al Michaels were the coaches.
As for Team White, their first responders included Raul Madrid (LACoFD) and Tommy Sullivan. Some famous names on the team include Baseball Hall of Fame catcher Joe Mauer, former NFL quarterback Matt Leinart, and former hockey star Rob Blake. The team's coaches were former Los Angeles Rams offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth and comedian Hannah Stocking.
Canadian actor Ben Hollinsworth, also for Team White, even took down Subban in a friendly fight.
