Vegas is quietly putting together a stellar season. They are tied for the lead in the NHL standings with the Washington Capitals at 61 points. The Golden Knights are known for making flashy moves and being involved in players that will significantly impact their roster. Time will tell if the Golden Knights can upgrade their roster for a Cup run.
Nashville hasn’t performed up to expectations this season after the flashy additions of Steven Stamkos and Jonathan Marchessault. Recently, Ryan O’Reilly’s name has been brought up by multiple NHL insiders as a potential trade target.
If Nashville can move off some of the veteran players on their roster for younger NHL-ready prospects, a la Nick Robertson in Toronto, they’ll be in good shape.
