Possible reinforcements are on the way for Minnesota as Kirill Kaprizov and Joel Eriksson Ek are on the road trip and practicing with the team. Coach John Hynes believes neither player will play on the trip because they haven’t taken contact yet it’s a sign the players are getting close to a return. Minnesota is now tied with St. Louis for the first Wild Card spot, if the Wild can hang on for a few more games they should be able to get into the playoffs and have two of their top six forwards back to provide a boost.
The Devils defeated the Wild in Minnesota on Saturday night 5-2. Captain Nico Hischier delivered a hat trick in the victory. This will be the second and final meeting between these clubs this season. New Jersey is comfortably in third place in the Metropolitan Division with an eight-point lead over the New York Rangers with seven games to play. This will be the second and final meeting between these clubs this season.

Marcus Foligno had a goal and an assist against the Devils on Saturday night in his second game back after missing some time with an injury. Foligno will play on the third line with Ryan Hartman and Gustav Nyquist tonight to try to continue to spark the offense. Foligno has 12 goals and 12 assists this season in 69 games for the Wild.
Jesper Bratt leads the Devils in scoring with 20 goals and 66 assists, and it ties him for 8th in the NHL with 86 points. The 5-foot-10 Swede has 18 points (3g, 15a) in 15 games in March.
