Hunter Skoczylas provides his two top DFS captain plays for tonight’s Game 4 matchup between the Panthers and Oilers.
The Panthers showed why they are the defending Stanley Cup champions after dismantling the Oilers, 6-1, in Game 3, and are looking to extend the series lead to 3-1 in tonight’s Game 4 matchup. DraftKings is offering DFS Showdown contests for the Stanley Cup Final, and below, I broke down my two favorite captain plays worth your consideration before finalizing your NHL DFS lineups tonight.

It’s a rather hefty price tag for the Russian coined with the simple nickname of “Bob” but both Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl are at least $1,500 more, so I’ll save some salary to build out a more balanced lineup. The veteran goaltender sports a .928 save percentage and 2.37 GAA in three games this series, recording at least 32 saves in each of them.
Despite the Game 1 overtime loss, Bobrovsky still recorded 20.4 FPTS, and in Games 2 and 3, he recorded 24+ FPTS. Edmonton simply hasn’t been the same when playing on the road this postseason but it has still averaged 30+ shots per game and logged 45+ shots in both Games 1 and 2. After a dud in Game 3, I expect a more aggressive offensive approach from the Oilers, and for Bobrovsky to stand on his head and rack up the fantasy points.
For those who are looking to stack their NHL DFS lineups with as much star power as possible, playing Rodrigues as your captain at this cheap salary could pay off big time. The 31-year-old winger enters Game 4 riding a four-game point streak and has averaged 10.2 FPTS in three games this series. He’s coming off a strong 16.3 FPT performance in Game 3 where he totaled a goal and an assist, both on the power play.
While Rodrigues has logged just one shot on goal in the past two games, he has still averaged four shot attempts per game, and sooner or later, the shots will start hitting the net. He doesn’t need to shoot the puck often to log fantasy points, however, when he shares the ice with such talented goalscorers at both 5v5 play and the power play. All four of Rodrigues’ points in this series have come via the power play and Edmonton’s biggest flaw is its penalty kill unit.
