Carolina Hurricanes forward Eric Robinson will have some extra oomph for Friday night’s game.
Before the team flew out for Games 3 and 4 in New Jersey, Robinson and wife Alli welcomed to the world a baby girl, Blaire.
“It’s been pretty crazy,” Robinson told team reporter Walt Ruff. “To be able to be there with my wife and see it was the best day of my life.”
Robinson, who set a career high in goals and points this regular season, leads the team with 10 hits so far this postseason along with six shots on goal and an assist.
“So proud of my wife,” Robinson told FanDuel Sports Network during the first intermission on Friday. “She was amazing. She looks perfect there, little Blaire. So yeah, I’m definitely playing with her in my heart tonight.”
