BLAINE, Minn. — The Janesville Jets won all three of the their games at the 22nd annual NAHL Showcase at the National Sports Center Super Rink, finishing Saturday with an 8-0 victory over the Maine Nordiques.
The Jets have a 4-2 record, early in this 2025-26 season.
“Anytime you can go to that showcase and not lose a game, it’s pretty darn good,” Janesville head coach Lennie Childs said. “I mean, we’ve done it three times in our program history.”
Second-year player Hans Hedlund scored four goals against the Nordiques. Connor Hillig got the Jets on the scoreboard with a goal in the first period and Hedlund provided two unassisted goals in each of the first and second period. He then scored another two in the final period.
“As a returner, and we don’t have a lot of them, I feel like he had a breakout game with the four-goal, one assist performance. He was a monster,” Childs said.
The Jets defeated the Austin Bruins, 3-2, on Wednesday and the New Hampshire Mountain Kings, 3-1 on Thursday.
Janesville returns to the ice at their home Mercyhealth Arena to take on the Anchorage Wolverines in a Midwest Division matchup on Friday, Oct. 3, at 7:05 p.m.
