Tonight, the crease belongs to veteran Marc-Andre Fleury and Mackenzie Blackwood (projected). Expect fireworks!
The Wild are looking to shake off Tuesday’s tough 3-2 loss to Detroit, where Gustavsson faced just 16 shots but couldn’t lock down the lead. He’s been solid overall, winning four of his last seven, but those losses? Rough—13 goals allowed on just 98 shots. Meanwhile, Minnesota’s defense has been stepping up, but they need their goalie to back them up.
On the other end, Blackwood is coming off a stellar 22-save performance in Colorado’s 5-1 domination over New Jersey. He’s been a wall against the Devils this season, surrendering just one goal in two games. He’s dialed in—will the Wild crack him tonight?

With a 2-1 overtime win against the Maple Leafs, the Wild improved to 34-21-4. Minnesota, favored by -1.5 goals, didn’t cover the puck line. The total was set at 6 goals, but the teams combined for just 3.
Ryan Hartman opened the scoring for the Wild in the first period, but the Maple Leafs tied it up with just 52 seconds left in the period. Matt Boldy scored the game-winner at 2:14 in overtime.
Ryan Hartman scored his third goal of the season, while Matt Boldy added his sixth, securing the Wild’s 2-1 overtime win. Jared Spurgeon picked up two assists, bringing his season total to three. Minnesota recorded 33 shots on goal but was held scoreless in the second and third periods.
Hartman’s goal came at 9:41 in the first period, and Boldy’s game-winner came 2:14 into overtime. The Wild had 15 giveaways in the game.
Minnesota’s defense will look to build on a strong performance in their previous game, where they allowed just one goal to the Maple Leafs. Filip Gustavsson made 27 saves with a 96.4% save percentage, and the Wild’s defense added 7 takeaways and 22 hits. The only goal they gave up came on a power play with 52 seconds left in the 1st period.
With a 5-2 loss to the Predators, the Avalanche’s record now stands at 34-24-2. Colorado took a 1-0 lead at 17:06 in the second period, but Nashville responded with five unanswered goals, including two empty-netters.
The total for the game was set at 6.5 goals, and the combined 7 goals surpassed that mark. The Avalanche were underdogs on the puck line, and failed to cover.
Cale Makar netted his fifth goal of the season on a power play, while Nathan MacKinnon added his sixth in the Avalanche’s 5-2 loss to the Predators. Makar also picked up his 16th assist on MacKinnon’s third-period goal, and MacKinnon earned his 14th assist on Makar’s second-period goal. Colorado fired 30 shots on goal but was held scoreless in the first period.
The Avalanche recorded 23 giveaways in the game. They scored their first goal with 2:54 gone in the second period, and their second came with 2:17 left in the third.
Colorado took a 1-0 lead over Nashville, but their defense struggled after that, allowing five goals, including two late empty-netters. Goalie Justus Annunen made 21 saves with an 87.5% save percentage. The Avalanche also gave up two power-play goals to the Predators.
When it comes to a moneyline bet in this game, our analysis leans towards the Avalanche picking up the win. However, given the current odds of -240, I’d advise going with the puck line, as our predictions have the Avalanche coming out on top by more than one goal.
Anticipate the Avalanche to win this one by multiple goals over the Wild.
For those looking at the over/under line set at 6 goals, our expectation is that this game will surpass that mark, and we suggest making a bet on the over.
