The MIAA high school field hockey tournament alignments are finalized.
The MIAA released the Division 1-4 tournament fields Tuesday afternoon, and a total of 15 South Shore teams made it into the mix with Hingham as the highest-seeded at No. 4 in Division 2.
Canton (No. 8, Division 2) and Cohasset (No. 8, Division 4) also took home top 10 seeds in their respective brackets. Scituate, Notre Dame Academy, Oliver Ames, Braintree and Milton earned top 20 finishes.
Division 2 is the most local-heavy field, loaded with eight South Shore competitors (more than half of the area’s total).
Dates and times for the first round matchups are to be announced, as is the neutral site for the state championship round.
