Brady Tkachuk will look back at that tying goal as a career highlight for sure. A game-tying goal in a Stanley Cup playoff game as he’s playing through pain while in front of his own fans. We’ve all been wondering how healthy he’s been all game. And then he does that. 2-2.
Here come the ‘Brady’ chants. This game is a Battle of Ontario classic no matter how this ends.
Well that was quick. Right after I sent my blog post saying can Ottawa get the equalizer, on the next shift after the TV timeout, Brady Tkachuk fires a wrist shot past Anthony Stolarz to tie this game.

Things are settling down after the Auston Matthews goal. At the first TV timeout of the third period, it's a 2-1 lead for Toronto.
Similar to Game 2, Ottawa hasn't registered a shot on goal in over five minutes. In Game 2, their first shot on goal in the third period was the tying goal.
Can the Maple Leafs hold on?
The Leafs pull ahead 2-1 on the first shift of the third period with Auston Matthews burying his first goal of the series. The play was created by Mitch Marner behind the Senators net as he directed a pass onto his teammate's stick before Linus Ullmark could even detect it. The Ottawa goaltender was looking over his shoulder while Matthews shot the puck into an empty cage.
