The Toronto Maple Leafs and the Ottawa Senators are in the third period in Game 1 of their Stanley Cup Playoffs first-round series.

That's twice now that Matthew Knies has laboured to the bench after blocking a shot. Lots of love from his Maple Leafs teammates once he gets there, though. Though he's quickly shown the ability to rise to the occasion come playoff time, he's showing his readiness for the postseason in a new way tonight.

William Nylander had a direct hand in both second-period power-play goals. A shot pass to John Tavares on the first one and a shot ripped from the slot to pad the Leafs lead to 4-1 soon after.
