Well, you can't always be expected to stop top offensive weapons like Kulikov, Boqvist and Mikkola.
I'm rewatching this highlight of the Niko Mikkola goal with dread. Joseph Woll NEEDS to make this stop.
There's no screen. The puck beats Woll's glove.
Terrible!
P2 5:59 – Panthers 4, Maple Leafs 0
Another turnover in Toronto's own zone. Niko Mikkola fires a blazing shot which Joseph Woll lets in. Woll needs to make that save.
4-0 Panthers. And the boo birds are ringing throughout Scotiabank Arena.

P2 13:52 – Panthers 2, Maple Leafs 0
Dmitry Kulikov makes it 2-0 for the Panthers, but that goal isn't on Joseph Woll. The point shot went in off Scott Laughton's stick. Tough break for a guy who rang a shot off the post earlier in this second period.
P2 14:38 – Panthers 1, Maple Leafs 0
Auston Matthews gets to the front of the net but fans on his shot. Jake McCabe tries to move the puck through traffic but Sergei Bobvrosky stops the puck.
Still a one-goal Florida lead.

Oliver Ekman-Larsson fires a slap shot from the point which Sergei Bobrovsky gobbles up. Toronto is playing this game along the boards, which isn't their forte.
P2 16:17 – Panthers 1, Maple Leafs 0
The Panthers are hemming the Leafs in their own zone. Sascha Barkov showing why he's one of the best two-way players in the league.
Toronto just not winning the battles along the boards.
In Games 5 through 7, Sergei Bobrovsky plays his best. Below are his numbers in games 5 through 7 with the Florida Panthers (entering tonight):
This is the first even strength faceoff in the offensive zone for Toronto in this game. They did not have one in the first period.
Just shows you how bad that period was for the Maple Leafs.

Scott Laughton fires the puck off the post. That followed a scoring chance from William Nylander which also went off the iron.
