William Nylander will keep his shot volume up vs. the Mammoth tonight, as our NHL betting picks explain.
NHL
We’ve got four games on the NHL betting slate tonight, including a matchup between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Utah Mammoth.
William Nylander needs to shoot more for the Leafs offense to have success, and the market price on his SOG line is far too juicy to pass up tonight.

Mammoth vs Maple Leafs Best bet: William Nylander Over 2.5 shots on goal (+100)
William Nylander returned to the lineup Monday night and led the Toronto Maple Leafs with two goals on five shots in the contest. The Leafs need Nylander to keep up that pace for them to have success.
He’s averaging just 1.9 shots per game this season, hence why the price (+100) is set so high for him to go Over his posted total.
However, he’s typically a volume shooter. Over the past three years, he’s averaged 3.5 shots per game, which has ranked among the league leaders over that span of time.
Nylander will remain on Auston Matthews’ line tonight. This duo, along with Matthew Knies, was lethal and controlled play when on the ice, outshooting their opponent 7-3 in the short 4+ minutes of ice-time.
I expect for the Leafs’ top line to carry over this strong play tonight against the Utah Mammoth, who have allowed an average of 26 shots on goal in their last five games.
Utah also played last night and could have some tired legs. They surrendered 30 shots on goal in their only previous second leg of a back-to-back this season.
Additionally, Nylander had seven shots on goal in two games against the Mammoth last year.

I’ll add an anytime goal from Matthews. Goals seem to come in bunches for the Leafs captain, and he’s starting to round into form with goals in back-to-back games.
I’ll also bet on Over 6.5 tonight. Both teams are capable of filling the net, with each side averaging more than 3.5 goals this season. Additionally, the Over is a combined 16-10 between the two clubs.
The Maple Leafs have hit the moneyline in 60 of their last 95 games (+15.85 Units / 11% ROI). Find more NHL betting trends for Mammoth vs. Maple Leafs.
