It’s go-time in St. Louis, where the Kings and Blues are set to clash, and the netminders could make all the difference. David Rittich is expected to start for L.A., but let’s be honest—he’s had a rough go lately. He’s coming off a 3-2 overtime loss to Vancouver, making it five losses in his last six games. His .888 save percentage? Not exactly inspiring confidence.
On the other end, Jordan Binnington has been heating up. Three straight wins, including a 25-save performance against Seattle, have him looking sharp. With an improving .899 save percentage, he’s giving the Blues a fighting chance.
Momentum matters, and right now, Binnington and the Blues might just have the edge.

The Kings dropped to 31-18-8 after a 4-3 loss to the Blackhawks. Los Angeles led 3-0 before giving up four unanswered goals, including the game-winner with just 31 seconds left in regulation. The Kings were favored on the puck line, and the total of 7 goals went over the pre-game line of 6.
Alex Laferriere scored twice for the Kings, who had six assists and 40 shots on goal. Phillip Danault added the third goal for Los Angeles, but the Blackhawks rallied with three goals in the third period to tie it, before scoring the decisive goal late in the game.
Alex Laferriere netted his 7th and 8th goals of the season, including a power-play goal at 16:03 in the 1st period. Phillip Danault added his 1st goal of the season, scoring at 8:12 in the 3rd period. Danault also picked up his 4th assist on Laferriere’s second goal.
The Kings fired 40 shots on goal but only managed three goals, with 13 giveaways on offense. Kevin Fiala recorded his 4th and 5th assists of the season.
Defensively, the Kings will be looking to bounce back after giving up three goals in the third period of their last game, including the tying goal with just 31 seconds left. Goalie Darcy Kuemper made 18 saves with an 85.7% save percentage. The Kings’ defense also recorded 6 takeaways and 24 hits.
St. Louis improved to 28-26-6 with a 4-2 win over the Maple Leafs. The Blues covered the puck line as underdogs, and the total of 6 goals matched the pre-game line.
After trailing 1-0 in the first period, the Blues responded with four straight goals. Three different players found the net for St. Louis, with Colton Parayko leading the way with two goals.
Colton Parayko led the way for the Blues with two goals on his only two shots on goal, bringing his season total to three. He also added his fifth assist on Pavel Buchnevich’s fourth goal of the season, which came on an empty net with 39 seconds remaining in the game.
After a scoreless first period, the Blues netted three goals in the second, including Jordan Kyrou’s third goal of the season. Ryan Suter contributed with two assists, giving him three for the year. St. Louis took 24 shots on goal and recorded 14 giveaways in the game.
Defensively, the Blues will look to build on their last performance, where they gave up just two goals to the Maple Leafs. Jordan Binnington made 35 saves with a 94.6% save percentage. The Blues’ defense also recorded 17 hits and 3 takeaways.
When it comes to a moneyline wager, I’m going with the Blues to defeat the Kings playing at home. Given the current moneyline odds at -104, I’m placing a wager on the Blues to win outright.
If you’re not as confident in the Blues straight-up, we’d still recommend placing a bet on them to cover the puck line.
For those looking at the over/under line set at 5.5 goals, our expectation is that this game will surpass that mark, and we suggest making a bet on the over.
