Gilbert's prediction: Panthers claw out a win vs. Lightning.
NHL
The Florida Panthers are looking to make it three wins in a row when they host the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday evening. This will be the first meeting between the in-state rivals since the Cats ousted the Bolts in last year’s playoffs.
The Lightning are a bit beat up right now with injuries to Victor Hedman, Anthony Cirelli, and Brandon Hagel. Missing any of those three players can cause a trickle-down effect in the lineup, and missing two or three of them can be catastrophic.
My Lightning vs. Panthers prediction is targeting the Cats at home.
Read on as I break down my NHL picks for Saturday, November 15.

Lightning vs Panthers Best bet: Panthers moneyline (-140)
The Florida Panthers are starting to find their game this season. They’re 6-3-1 in their last 10 games after a four-game losing streak, with victories in three of their last four contests.
The Tampa Bay Lightning have been playing well, too, but they’re just 4-2-2 on the road while the Panthers are 6-1-1 at home. And those aforementioned injuries loom large against a Florida team that is mostly healthy outside of the long-term absences for Aleksander Barkov and Matthew Tkachuk.
Furthermore, the Panthers have been strong between the pipes with Sergei Bobrovsky allowing two goals in each of his last two starts against Vegas and Los Angeles, while Andrei Vasilevskiy allowed five goals on 13 shots in his last start.
The Panthers have taken over in this rivalry, and they’ll continue that on Saturday in Sunrise.
This should be a close, tight-checking game in Florida, especially if the Lightning are without a few of their key players. Tampa Bay has gone under in four of its last six games, and Florida in two of its last three.
Brad Marchand has been phenomenal for the Panthers, both in last year’s playoffs and this season. He extended his point streak to nine games with two assists against the Capitals, giving him 14 points in that span.
The Tampa Bay Lightning have hit the Game Total Under in 24 of their last 43 away games (+6.15 Units / 13% ROI). Find more NHL betting trends for Lightning vs. Panthers.
