DOLNY KUBIN, Slovakia – Kelsey DiClaudio (Plum, Pa.) and Madeleine Gallagher (Palm Bay, Fla.) each recorded two goals and an assist to help the U.S. Women’s National Sled Team to a 10-0 victory over Great Britain here today in the semifinals of the 2025 World Para Ice Hockey Women’s Championship at Winter Stadium.
With the win, Team USA advanced to the gold-medal game against Canada, set for tomorrow (Aug. 31) at 7 p.m. local time/1 p.m. ET. The contest will stream live on the Paralympics YouTube Channel.
“Great game, we really brought a strong three-period effort again,” said Rose Misiewicz (Duluth, Minn.), head coach of the U.S. Women’s National Sled Team. “Now we have to carry the momentum into the big one tomorrow.”
Just 16 seconds into the contest, Lera Doederlein (San Diego, Calif.) carried the puck behind the Great Britain net and found Catherine Faherty (Norwell, Mass.) with a pass to the slot, who capitalized on the go-ahead goal to give Team USA a 1-0 lead.
The U.S. took a 2-0 lead at 7:31 when Chloe Kirkpatrick (Bemidji, Minn.) threaded a pass across the offensive zone to Kaden Herchenroether (Allison Park, Pa.), who rifled the puck past Great Britain netminder Nicole Hill to make it a 2-0 game.

Madeleine Gallagher (Palm Bay, Fla.) gave the U.S. a 3-0 advantage with 6:09 remaining in the opening frame when she stickhandled past several defenders before launching a shot into the top-left corner.
Ailin Zheng (Queens, N.Y.) added to the tally 33 seconds later, gathering a loose puck in the slot and spinning towards goal to fire a wrister past Hill’s blocker.
With 4:24 left in the period, DiClaudio went top shelf with a shot from the left circle off a feed from Erica McKee (Chicago, Ill.) to put the U.S. up 5-0.
DiClaudio picked up her second tally of the contest while on the power play when she forced a turnover in the offensive zone and slid the puck under the outstretched glove of Hill with 1:27 remaining in the opening frame.
At the 1:23 mark of the middle stanza, Robynne Hill (Fountain, Colo.) launched a shot from the point that found the top corner of the goal to make it a 7-0 game. Rachel Grusse (Vernon, Conn.) added a helper on the play.
Doderlein made it 8-0 in the final minute of the period, finishing a breakaway chance with her left hand after deking the goaltender.
At the 6:45 mark of the third, Monica Quimby (Bradenton, Fla.) batted home a feed from DiClaudio in the slot to give the U.S. a nine-goal lead.
Gallagher scored her second goal of the contest in the closing minute to account for the 10-0 final.
Gabby Graves-Wake (Phoenix, Ariz.) and Hope Magelky (Bismarck, N.D.) combined for the win in goal for Team USA.
NOTES: Team USA outshot Great Britain 31-0 … The U.S. was 1-1 on the power play, while Great Britain was 0-1 … Monica Quimby was named U.S. Player of the Game.
