WILLMAR — The Willmar WarHawks took an early three-goal lead to beat the Minnesota Moose on Saturday night at the Willmar Civic Center Arena.
Keegan Montgomery scored his first Willmar goal of the season and Scott Woltman added the next two to help Willmar take a 3-0 advantage in the NA3HL game.

Montgomery is an 18-year-old forward from Chelsea, Michigan. Woltman now has four goals in six games for Willmar. He’s a forward from Glen Ellyn, Illinois.
The WarHawks then got goals from Jett Wheeler and Gabriel Adams in the third period to seal the victory. It was Adam’s sixth goal in eight games for Willmar. He’s a forward from Bellevue, Nebraska.
Wheeler is a forward from Sauk Rapids. It was his first goal in eight games with the WarHawks.
Kai Girard stopped 26 of 28 shots for the win in net.
The Minnesota Moose are in their first year and play their home games in Blaine.
Willmar next plays the Mason City Toros at 7:10 p.m. Friday at the Willmar Civic Center Arena.
