🏈 NFL Preseason
Last Updated: February 26, 2025 4:16 PM EST • 5 minute read X Social Google News Link
The Winnipeg Jets have been soaring while snatching a franchise-record-setting 10 straight victories.
That’s the longest winning streak in the NHL this season, and the Jets will look to keep it going at Canada Tire Centre in Ottawa, Ont., on Wednesday (7 p.m. ET, ESPN+) while facing a Senators team that’s dropped four straight.
I’m backing Winnipeg to win keep sizzling our Jets vs. Senators prediction.
Here are my best Jets vs. Senators predictions, expert picks, and best bets tonight with my pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale. Be sure to check out the rest of our NHL picks along with our guide on how to bet on the NHL.
🚨 Game pick: Jets ML (-130 via Betway) vs. Senators ⭐⭐⭐⭐
🚨 My best player prop pick: Josh Morrissey Over 0.5 points (-125 via Betway) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
I’m predicting the Jets to beat the Senators tonight in Ottawa in a game with six or fewer goals.
The Jets are due for a loss, and the Senators are desperate for a victory. Winnipeg was less than a minute away from losing their last two games but pulled off the great escape against St. Louis on the road and San Jose at home.
Under ordinary circumstances, I’d back the Senators to pull off the upset.
However, the Senators might not have three key players in the lineup, including captain Brady Tkachuk, who missed the team’s first game back against the Montreal Canadiens after the 4 Nations Face-Off.
Meanwhile, Shane Pinto missed the last three games, and Josh Norris didn’t suit up in the previous five due to upper-body injuries.
While Travis Green hasn’t yet ruled any of them out, I’d be surprised to see all three play. Even if they do, I’d expect some residual rust from the latter two, and who knows what to expect from Tkachuk if he plays.
Whether due to an emotional comedown or wear and tear, we’ve witnessed a palpable drop in performance level from several stars after the culmination of the 4 Nations Face-Off.
That leads me to get behind a Jets team among the Stanley Cup odds favorites, one that continually finds ways to win. They haven’t lost since Jan. 20 and have reeled off five straight on the road. I expect Hart Trophy odds contender Connor Hellebuyck to start before resting against Nashville the following evening.

The Senators have scored just four goals in the last three games, while the Jets found it difficult to score at home against the Sharks in their previous game. I expect the Sens to be better defensively, leading to a 3-2 Jets victory.
Correct score odds: +1400 via Betway (bet $10 to win $140)

Morrissey scored the equalizer against the Sharks with 26 seconds left in regulation, pushing the game into overtime. He has 47 points in 57 games and five in the previous six. He’s also highly productive against the Sens, registering seven points in the last 10 meetings, including five in the previous five.
Best odds: -125 via Betway (bet $10 to win $8)
