Boston College and Michigan State — two of the top teams in college hockey a year ago — are ripe for an early-season test with two head-to-head matchups on Friday and Saturday.
The Eagles fell just shy of winning the Frozen Four last season, falling in the title game to Denver, 2-0.
Meanwhile, the Spartans did not make it out of the quarterfinals, falling to Michigan.
